GOLOCAL Awards at BIA/Kelsey's NATIONAL conference

GOLOCAL Awards

At BIA/Kelsey BRANDS, we celebrated the "best of the best" local marketing strategies with the third edition of the GOLOCAL Awards. The competition showcased how brands are deploying local digital marketing programs to engage and win over consumers.

2016 GOLOCAL Winners

  • Innovation: Netsertive for “Serta Goes Digital for Labor Day Promotions.” To drive local market sales through co-op marketing programs, Serta leveraged Netsertive for its National Offer campaign during Labor Day weekend 2015. Serta armed five different buying groups with search, display and retargeting ads to distribute to their local retail partners. With Netsertive’s help, Serta was able to generate and distribute dynamic landing pages, built to deliver brand-approved messaging and special Labor Day offers directly through local business’ existing websites, automating turnkey digital campaigns with advanced ad placement and customer retargeting.
  • Sales/Revenue: SIM Partners for “Advocate Health Care Surpasses Patient Acquisition Goals with Velocity.” By harnessing local data and content to provide contextually relevant, location-specific experiences for more than 6,000 physicians, SIM Partners’ Velocity helped Advocate Health Care automate their local efforts to drive patient acquisition at scale, surpassing their 2015 appointment growth targets.
  • Strategic Use of Digital Marketing: Brandmuscle for “Brandmuscle Helps Insurance Agent Use National Brand and News Buzz to Generate Leads through Facebook.” An insurance agent used Brandmuscle to create a timely lead-generation campaign targeting the local LGBT community in New York, around the NYC Pride Parade and a major Supreme Court decision in June 2015. Brandmuscle executed a Facebook ad campaign surpassing even the agent’s expectations.

Competition Overview

The GOLOCAL Awards competition is open to all agencies, brands or solution companies that have identifiable local digital marketing programs.

Participants are invited to showcase a local campaign that was successful in one or more of the following categories:

  • Sales or Revenue (Campaign reveals sales and/or revenue the top priority.)
  • Innovation (Campaign showcases a unique approach or use of technology.)
  • Strategic Use of Digital Marketing (Campaign highlights the use of digital marketing in a fresh, attention-grabbing manner.)

Entries will be judged by an experienced panel of distinguished experts, analysts, media and practitioners from the local media and location marketing industry. The judging panel will rate submissions on the following criteria:

  • Marketing Strategy: The strategy of the digital marketing initiative was well-conceived and produced the sought-after business results. Entries will be evaluated against the specific objective specified by the entrant.
  • Ingenuity and Distinctiveness: The marketing effort is cleverly imagined and executed. A stand-out effort doesn't have to reinvent the wheel, and may even be a practical solution, but it must be distinctive and more noticeable than a competing one.
  • Category Satisfaction: Based on the category in which an entry falls, the marketing effort was well-designed to achieve the specified objective.

Rules

  • No fee to enter.
  • Companies can enter multiple times, but each entry must be a unique campaign. Campaigns may not be entered into multiple categories.
  • Solution providers must obtain the approval of the brand you are representing before submitting an entry. If selected as a finalist, we will require proof of the brand’s approval before confirming your campaign as a finalist.

CLOSED FOR SUBMISSIONS

Our judges are hard at work evaluating all the great entries.

Finalists will be notified by March 11, 2016, and winners will be announced on stage at the BIA/Kelsey BRANDS conference.
